At our Spanish Restaurant in Aventura, we use many types of onions that carry a stronger and sweeter taste, and it’s also a primary ingredient in Peruvian food. We use onion as one of the basic ingredients for all types of preparation.
The flavor it helps in bringing once it’s sauteed goes great with stews and beef preparations. We also use red onions for salads and other types of dishes. Before using the onions, the chefs at our Peruvian will either boil or wash them with water because they might be way too strong.
Also known as the “Peruvian Yellow Chilli Pepper,” it is also another ingredient that we use in our Peruvian cuisine. We have customers who have personally requested us at our Latin Restaurant to add a bit more spice to their dishes.
We believe that using “Aji Amarillo” in our soups and stews does help in adding a bit of spice that our customers need. The pepper is much hotter than Jalapenos and also carries a fruity and strong flavor, which is pretty similar to raisins.
We also use Aji Amarillo in salads for garnishing or just turn it into a paste and add it to various sauces and dishes.
Normally known as “Sweet Potato,” it is another ingredient that is known for its sweet and starchy flavor. At our Latin Restaurant, we use camote or sweet potato for making various dishes and also serve it as an accompaniment to our customers.
